Sunnyvale Store

The Sports Basement Sunnyvale location started out as a Fry’s Electronics store. The store interior mimicked the inside of a computer, with giant simulated circuit components on the walls and the floor resembling a large printed circuit board. The large “ESC” keyboard key on our exit door is a relic of those days.

The location reopened as Sports Basement Sunnyvale in October 2005. The store has become a central hub for sports, recreation and outdoor-lifestyle enthusiasts in the South Bay area and prides itself in being an integral part of these communities.

Meeting Spaces

The Sunnyvale store has two primary areas reserved for meetings, community events, clinics and marketing programs. It also has 2 smaller areas on the sales floor that can be used for smaller parties and simple events.

The Community Room has a 40′ by 22′ footprint (approximately 880 square feet). The Community Room can comfortably accommodate 50 chairs for presentation-style seating. This room can be expanded out to 40′ by 48′ (approximately 1920 square feet) to accommodate a 120-chair presentation format. This room also serves as our informational area for events, races and community partners as it sports wall space for postings and flyers. It is located to the right side of the entry area of the store.

The Summit Room is located in the rear of the store. It has a 37′ by 26′ footprint (approximately 962 square feet). It can comfortably accommodate seating for 75.

We can provide up to 130 chairs and some tables. We also have projection screens, a projector, TVs, DVD/VCRs, and hard-wired internet access. There are no fees for the use of our areas or equipment.

Our location also has space in its parking areas for events and programs. We have hosted e-waste pick-up programs, car wash fundraisers, kids’ events with inflatable jumpy houses, our annual Bike Swap Meet and other larger outdoor events. Let us know if your program requires outdoor space. Email us if you’d like to reserve meeting space for your club meeting, party or other event.
