West SF schools! Congratulations on their second Charity Madness win in a row. We’re sensing a pattern here… could West SF schools become the next John Wooden/UCLA dynasty? We’ll have to wait ’til next year to find out! The West SF schools raised nearly $6500 all by themselves, a pretty impressive feat.
Meanwhile, all these awesome charities combined raised a total of $29,603, which means that really, everyone won. Thanks to all the charities for competing, and even more importantly, thanks to all of you supporters who helped make this happen! Give yourselves a pat on the back – you earned it!
We can’t wait to see what Charity Madness 2015 will have in store for us!
Round two is complete, and the Final Four have emerged victorious (although really, everyone’s winning in the end)! The total amount raised is growing by leaps and bounds – heading into Round 3, these charities have raised a total of $26,022! We can’t wait to see how huge that number will be this time next week!
As Dick Vitale would say “These charities are awesome, baby!”. In round one the charity teams rallied their fans to raise $16,027. That’s almost 50% more than last year!
You know what March Madness is, right? Of course you do. It’s an epic single-elimination college basketball tournament so full of excitement that you can’t help getting sucked into it every spring, right? Well, here at Sports Basement we’re no different, so we decided to roll all that excitement into something truly worthwhile: fundraising!
Mountain biking technology is an ever-evolving art and wheel diameter has become one of the hottest topics in the sport. So how do you decide which size is right for you?
The 26er in a word: Maneuverable
The 29er in a word (or three): Fast and smooth
27.5er (aka 650b) in a word: Best of both worlds
Of course the above information should serve only as basic guidelines. Ultimately, you’ll just need to ride em all and decide for yourself.
To learn more about wheel size and more, join us at one of our upcoming Beginner or Intermediate Mountain Biking Clinics: April 5th, May 10th, June 7th. Click here for more details and to register!
