Profile

The Store Staff position is an entry level, fun and challenging position that allows you to share your love of the outdoors with customers and co-workers. Also each employee is expected to follow all company policies and procedures.

All employees hired into this position are evaluated each quarter on productivity and effectiveness.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assists customers in an enthusiastic and courteous manner; provides “wow” customer service.
Advises and assists customers with their choices of product for themselves and for gifts.
Accurately completes sales using POS system according to established procedures.
Stocks and cleans the department for the best sales appearance and ease of use for the customer.
Develops and maintains knowledge expertise of all merchandise in department to effectively assist customers with accurate information; keeps current as new product lines are introduced.
Assists with merchandising efforts, displays, and floor moves as needed.
Assists with community/marketing events
Maintains a clean and safe workplace
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.

Minimum Requirements

Must have the ability to manage and complete priorities and work flow, multitask and be detail-oriented.
Must have the ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to work both independently or in a team environment.
Must take direction well.
Must have the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have acceptable appearance and demeanor
Must have the ability to create an excellent customer and team experience
Must have good time management skills
Must have a sense of urgency and be able to hustle.
Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Working Environment/Minimum Physical Requirement

You must have the physical, visual and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Position requires standing up to 8 hours per shift, bending, leaning and kneeling on a regular basis during a shift. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in order to perform essential functions. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and stressful situations. Must be able to work in an environment where climate constantly changes.
