We’re down to the Elite Eight!

After a big weekend of fundraising and a total of $20,668 raised so far, the Charity Madness Elite Eight start fundraising today. And “elite” they are – every one of the remaining charities has a passionate following that could easily propel them to be the 2012 Charity Madness fundraising champ. This week’s winners compete against the other division winners next week.

SF West: Unlike lots of political candidates The YMCA has a dedicated following and great organization. But ALC could shift into high gear to leave The Y asking “how” did that happen.

SF East: Who says our school system isn’t successful? They’re the top of the class so far. On the other hand the Police & Fire team could turn on the siren to blow past the the schools on the way to the finals. Crazier things have happened.

South Bay: We’ve got a great match up in the South Bay – TNT knows how to finish a race, but the SVTC knows how to go big or go home. We’re going to keep a close eye on this close match up. Who ever buys a bike will win. (“props” to Asha for almost catching up last week.)

East Bay: Honestly we have no idea who will win between the WC Ed. Foundations and TNT of the East Bay. The Ed. Foundations have raised more in total but TNT has the momentum – we’re going to watch this game with a box of Clif Bars and some Gatorade.
