SB donates more than 600 basketballs to art project
Sports Basement is partnering with The San Francisco Arts Commission to bring an artist’s vision to life.
Bay Area native David Huffman’s artwork falls into the realm of Afrofuturism, using a bit of science fiction and fantasy to highlight contemporary sociopolitical issues. He often has a basketball pyramid in his pieces and has now decided to bring this pyramid to life with the help of a Sports Basement donation of more than 600 basketballs.
Come see this pyramid and other artists’ creations at the San Francisco Arts Commisson Gallery’s SHIFT exhibition, showing at the Veterans Building from Sept. 16-Dec. 10. It’s a true sight to see!
