Need new shoes? Get your fall kicks at the Basement

Fall is just around the corner, which means that whether you’re headed back to school or just need to replace your old beaters, it is high time for some new kicks. Luckily, Sports Basement has got the shoes you need in the styles you can’t help loving.

Looking for that iconic retro-classic sneaker? Look no further than the Puma Suede and Asics Fabre BL-S. First introduced in 1968, the Puma Suede has a super clean design that gives it true staying power. The Fabre BL-S from Onitsuka Tiger is an update on a 1975 basketball shoe designed by Asics–in fact, the name FABRE is derived from the original name, Fastbreak. Its simple design and pop of color will help you stand out from the crowd.

Puma and Asics aren’t the only ones with classic styles to offer–we’ll have shoes from the Adidas Originals collection arriving in mid-November. With that classy Superstar rubber outsole, the Campus 2 is one of the most iconic sneakers Adidas has to offer. Not to be upstaged is the Samba, a true street classic. The Samba was originally introduced in 1962 as a cleat for playing on frozen soccer pitches. Both styles are sure to go fast, so grab ‘em quick!

Not everyone is into the classics, though; some of us prefer a modern look.  Luckily, Element’s brand new Emerald Footwear Collection is sure to satisfy. The Bowery shoe offers up a sleek, simple design complete with bamboo lining and a rubber/hemp outsole, so both you and the planet can be stoked on your new kicks. An elastic banding at the tongue means you can rock these with or without laces. The Blucher-style Kensington is another fresh design from Element.  Featuring an ultra-thin cork-cushioned midsole and ortholite insole, this black suede loafer can take you from casual daytime to dressy night in comfort and unstoppable style.

For those of you hungry for a killer deal on a pair of skate shoes, the Derelict and the Cat SN from iPath are here to provide. The Derelict is a no-brainer with it’s mixed organic canvas upper and low-profile vulcanized rubber outsole for better board feel. The Cat SN is a major leap forward in skate shoes, introducing a Vibram multi-grip outsole for superior grip and durability, while maintaining a soft and flexible sole design for great cushioning and better board feel.

Still not satisfied? Then try on a true classic–the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star. Sports Basement has hi-tops and lo-tops in black, as well lo-tops in a variety of colors. You can never go wrong with a new pair of Chucks — they are literally always in style.

Feeling left out, ladies? Don’t worry, we’ve got more than enough options for you, too. For starters, we have TOMS as far as the eye can see. From Wedges to Biminis to Cordones to Classics, Sports Basement has a wide variety of TOMS in a ton of different styles and colors. And if you’re looking for the basics, we always have a great supply of TOMS Classics in black, red, and ash.

Sports Basement also carries Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars for women in a variety of colors. No wardrobe would be complete without this classic shoe–no matter what your personal style is, there’s a pair of Converse that will match perfectly.

Designed to go anywhere your day takes you, the Freeform Mary Jane from Privo by Clarks is the perfect blend of comfort and style in a minimalist design. This modern twist on the classic Mary Jane is the perfect shoe for walks around the city followed by a night out on the town. With Privo’s Soleassage footbed, your feet will be thanking you every step of the way.

Sports Basement can also help you stretch out those summer days with a huge variety of sandals from all the best brands. Reef, Rainbow, Chaco, and Teva are just some of the brands you’ll find for both men and women to keep rolling summer into September.

We’ve got something for everyone, so you are sure to find your perfect casual shoe. If you have any questions, our knowledgeable footwear staff is always eager to help you find the right fit in the right style.

Do you not offer on line shopping any longer? If not, then I will no longer be shopping at your local stores either. I like to look on line to see if you even carry what I am looking for before I come in. If you do offer on line shopping, where is it? You do realize it is 2012 and this technology is here to stay?

I too am wondering about what happened to the online store. Honestly if you no longer offer this service, I’ll probably pay the higher prices and shop at REI rather than make the long trek to one of your stores (especially since I won’t know if you even carry the items I’m looking for)…

I agree with above. If I can’t even see what you have in stock, and I can’t see prices, I won’t bother making the trip into the store. I see what brands you have, but not whether you have it in my size, or the style I want. You also should have a “search store” menu, where I could, for instance, enter “hiking sandals”, and it would go to the page where I see the selection you offer.

All these people know what they are talking about. I live a little far and am not willing to just make the drive without knowing what you carry.

Hey folks, you are correct, we’re no longer selling stuff online. We decided to focus our website on the awesome stuff going on in our stores. We’re redesigning the site to include the features you’re requesting and more. Please stay tuned!

I am very disappointed that you are no longer selling merchadise online. I am sure you are doing awesome things in your stores, but if you live in another state it is not awesome.
