We’re having a Friendraiser!

That’s right, a friendraiser! Sports Basement has teamed up with Jamis Bicycles and AIDS/Lifecycle for a win-win-win deal for everyone. For every incremental like or follower on any of Sports Basement’s Facebook or Twitter pages* the awesome folks from Jamis will donate $1 to AIDS/Lifecycle to help find a cure. It really doesn’t get much better than that.

And it’s true, Jamis is full of super awesome people who have magical transformative powers. Not only can they transform “likes” into donations, they found a way to transform simple steel into some of the most dependable and smoothest bikes we’ve ever seen. You may be asking yourself, “But why would I want to get Sports Basement updates on my wall?” Actually, you’re probably not asking that, because the answer is obvious. Not only do you get to chuckle regularly at our clever witticisms and adorable dog pictures, we also use our pages to showcase new deals and markdowns, announce upcoming events, and hold trivia contests! You can’t lose. What you might more feasibly be asking yourself is, “Oh no! I’ve already “liked” Sports Basement! Whatever will I do?” Well, don’t worry. Just share this info with your friends, and spread the love that way! Yet another reason why the word “friendraiser” is such a good fit.

There is probably someone in our company that wears a tie sometimes and has a really cool business card that would want us to clarify everything about our super cool friendraiser, so here goes: For every incremental “like” on any of our six Facebook pages or “follower” on our Twitter feed*, Jamis will donate $1 to AIDS/LifeCycle, up to a total of $3,000 (for instance, if we get 2,784 new “likes” on all our Facebook pages combined, Jamis will donate $2,784 to ALC). The whole shebang starts at 8am on November 1st and ends at midnight on November 30th. Don’t miss out!
