Sports Basement team racing for the championship

Four SB employee-athletes are heading to Chicago in May to compete in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Championships.

Team members Ian Ballentine, Sarah Bamberger, Mackenzie Cane and Tiffany Hall have competed in everything from half-Ironmans to the Dipsea and Double Dipsea trail races, from cross-country races to marathons and 5ks all around the Bay. They earned their spot in the annual Championship race by winning the San Francisco JP Morgan Corporate Challenge in 2011.

The women of SB are training together on the track once a week in preparation for the Championships on May 24, and they are stoked to be part of an international race of this caliber. They move pretty fast, but if you see them on the track, shout some words of encouragement. The team was recently featured on the JP Morgan Chase website. Check out their interview.

Clair is the interim online community manager and works in women's fitness at the Presidio store. She's a race walker, cyclist and avid Giants fan.
