Burning Man is nearly upon us, and that means it’s time to get packing! We’ve whipped up a handy-dandy checklist to help you make sure none of your necessities gets left in the dust (or out of the dust, as the case may be). A printable PDF of this image is available here.

What happened to shopping online? Product research/pricing? I see no place to shop only upcoming events & advise! Where can I look at your inventory?
Hi Marie,
We’re redesigning our website to focus on the awesome things going on in our stores, and building stronger relationships with our local customers. As part of that, we’re not selling stuff online. We hope you can visit us if you’re ever in the Bay Area, though!
Gotta agree with Marie. Not being able to see what you have in store is not helping me in my decision if I should drive to one of your stores..
Really? A retail store with no product on their website? You expect everyone to live that close to your stores? How small minded.
Yes, burners are small-minded. Thanks for pointing that out.
Hi,
We’re coming from France going to BM 2012! We’re looking at buying two 2nd hand bikes to cycle in SF and on the BM Playa! Could you find that at your stores? If not, could you advise where to look?
Thank you!
Anne
Sports Basement is awesome. I say this even though I usually abhor shopping of any kinds and brands. If you’re going to the Burn, I highly recommend checking them out.
Hi Anne, We don’t sell second-hand bikes at our stores (though you’re right on the money, second-hand is exactly what you want), but if you’re around tomorrow for Sunnyvale’s Cycle Swap, that’d be a great place to start your search. Other than that, look at craigslist.com for cheap beaters. Hope this helps!
Sports Basement is a great place. Has everything REI has and also carries “non nature” sports stuff as well (tennis gear, baseball gear, soccer, etc)
